Charlie Scaperotto
Charlie is from Philadelphia, PA. He started playing the Clarinet at age 12 and later transitioned to the Alto and Tenor Saxophones. In High School he was lead Saxophonist in the Band and Orchestra. He then earned a Music Scholarship with the Valley Military Academy Band. The Band earned the reputation as one of the best military Bands in the nation, participating in every Presidential Inaugural parade and performing Presidential concerts at the White House. The Band also performed Symphony No. 4 Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture with Eugene Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra, in celebration of the Conductor’s 70th Birthday. Upon graduation from Valley Forge, he was the lead Saxophonist for the St Joseph’s University Swing Band. After retiring from the United States Air Force, Delta Airlines; and the Boeing Company, he returned to music, playing the Saxophone with the Fauquier County Community Band and with the Nitehawk's Swing Band. He most recently played Saxophone and Clarinet for Highland Park's musical performance of “Oliver” and for the Fauquier Community Theater performance of “Holiday Inn”.
