David Fatula

David started playing guitar in 1967 when he was only 5 years old. In 1977 he began teaching everyone he met how to play guitar, piano, or how to improve their ability on whatever instrument they played. Originally a music instructor at the Drum & Strum Lee St. Location, he has taught Guitar Ensemble, Intermediate Guitar, Beginning Guitar, Jazz and Advanced Jazz at Highland School since 2004. With this experience, David brings a wealth of instructional techniques and unlimited resources and performance opportunities to the Drum & Strum Academy. Passionate about helping any level musician from beginners to advanced, if asked about playing any instrument, his response will be “of course you can learn how to play it”.  David believes that everyone has music inside of them and with the correct learning platform, anyone can produce music. His primary instruments are Guitar and Bass, he also teaches beginning to intermediate Banjo, Mandolin, Piano, Voice, and Drums. He can teach you to get started on Saxophone, but not Trumpet because he says it hurts his face. Give us a call or send an email to get on the schedule.
