Vintage Dobro Model 60D – 1980

Dobro – Model 60D, square neck, maple body, excellent condition, 100% original with no repairs. It plays and sounds incredible, with a wonderful tone, volume, and patina. It has been extremely well cared for and is in beautiful shape. This would make a fine instrument for anyone wanting to delve into the world of bluegrass or blues music, original hardshell case included. Dobro took its name from the Dopyera brothers, who started their own company shortly after playing a key role in the development of resonator guitars with National. In the early days of both companies, there were fundamental differences in each brand’s construction, but both used hubcap-like resonator plates to amplify the sound of an acoustic guitar. Today, the word “Dobro” is widely used as a general descriptor of resonator guitars. The guitar pictured is the exact instrument that is for sale. All instruments are available at our store showroom in Warrenton, Virginia and are guaranteed to be packed safely and freshly set up per your specifications. Please email or call and we’d be happy to provide an in-hand description of the instrument and answer any questions you have.
