1973 Gibson Les Paul Custom -
Vintage Les Paul Custom Guitar: The guitar features a 2 piece mahogany pancake body, 3 piece mahogany neck, carved maple top, ebony fingerboard, t-top humbucking pickups, waffle back tuners, and original cherry sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Original CTS potentiometer codes date to the 48th week of 1973. (Nov 26 to Dec 2nd) The frets are in excellent condition with minimal playwear, low action, and unbelievable sustain. The humbuckers have a warm, creamy growling tone. Weighing in around 10 pounds this is a solid rock and roll machine that feels great in the hands. The guitar is in excellent condition with only light plating wear on the pickup covers, small nick in the binding, wear on the neck from playing, and minimal cosmetic imperfections. You would be hard pressed to find an example of a vintage instrument in better condition. The back is virtually perfect with no bellyworms or finish imperfections typical of a Les Paul from this era. Since '73, this guitar has not changed many hands, being owned by one person, who primarily played it in church. This beautiful example of a vintage instrument has a voice all its own, whether you play it clean or amp up the gain for face-melting leads. It includes the original hardshell case and the hangtags from 1973. It has been freshly setup and plays beautifully. The instrument pictured is the exact instrument for sale. All instruments are available at our showroom in Warrenton, Virginia, and are set up to the buyer's specifications at no additional charge upon purchase. Instruments may not be shipped in their original shipping container. All instruments are guaranteed to be packed well and arrive safely. Please email or call and we'd be happy to provide an in-hand description of the instrument and answer any questions you have.
